Isaiah 27:3

Isaiah 27 is about the restoration of Israel. After declaring the destruction of the earth and the scattering of everyone in it, Isaiah declares that Israel will be restored. It is a rather beautiful passage.

I, the LORD, keep it [Israel],
I water it every moment;
Lest any hurt it,
I keep it night and day.’ (Isaiah 27:3)

Israel is God’s inheritance. They are His children. Though He may deal with them seemingly harshly, it is entirely due to their disobedience. He punishes them as children. Out of love. For the LORD keeps it, and waters it ‘every moment, lest any hurt it’. He loves them.

The same is true of us. Though we go through trials, problems, hardships, doubts, temptations, and any sort of assailment from the enemy, God is always there, tending to us lest any should hurt us. Is that not a comforting thought? If we could fully understand and appreciate it, I think we would experience much more peace!
